GIG-ARTS is entering a new phase

A renewed governance framework, a new website and the integration of the SWING School mark an important new chapter for the international GIG-ARTS community.

GIG-ARTS community, conference and school activities

Over the past ten editions, GIG-ARTS has grown from an annual academic conference into an international community bringing together scholars and practitioners working on Internet governance, digital policy and the transformation of digital society.

Today, we are pleased to announce three important developments that mark the beginning of a new phase for GIG-ARTS.

01

A new governance framework

GIG-ARTS is adopting a new Organisational and Governance Framework designed to strengthen the continuity, openness and international reach of the community.

The renewed framework introduces a strengthened Steering Committee and clearer responsibilities for scientific coordination, institutional relations, communication, impact, partnerships and future activities.

A common platform for the community

We are launching our new website, conceived not simply as the home of the GIG-ARTS Conference Series, but as the common platform for the growing range of activities developed by the community.

The new platform brings together the Conference, School, community activities and future initiatives, creating a shared digital space for research, education and international exchange.

The SWING School joins the GIG-ARTS ecosystem

The SWING School on Internet Governance is joining the GIG-ARTS ecosystem. Building on the experience developed through its previous editions, the School will become a permanent educational pillar of the community, alongside the GIG-ARTS Conference Series.

This creates a closer connection between advanced training, interdisciplinary exchange and the broader research and policy community working on Internet and digital governance.
