Talent is global. Access is not. The Global Access Scholarship helps promising participants join the GIG-ARTS School regardless of financial barriers, widening the geographical and social diversity of the community.

Opening access

Removing the cost barrier

The GIG-ARTS School brings together emerging researchers, professionals and experts for an intensive week of learning and multistakeholder exchange on digital governance.

The Global Access Scholarship is designed to make participation possible for selected candidates who would otherwise face significant financial barriers to attending the School.

Scholarship availability depends on confirmed sponsorship. Every additional scholarship directly creates an additional opportunity to participate.

What the scholarship provides

Five days of full participation

The scholarship combines access to the academic programme with the accommodation support needed to make attendance realistically possible.

Full School participation

The scholarship covers the €800 participation fee, giving the recipient access to the School’s lectures, seminars, multistakeholder roundtables, materials and included programme activities.

Five hotel nights

€500 of the scholarship supports five nights of accommodation in Salerno, reducing one of the largest practical barriers to international participation.

International community

Recipients participate fully in a multidisciplinary environment connecting academia, public authorities, civil society, business, technical experts and practitioners.

Flexible sponsorship

Co-funding is possible

Two organisations may jointly finance a Global Access Scholarship. Both organisations are recognised as co-funding sponsors, making it possible to widen access even when a full scholarship is not funded by a single organisation.
